SSH Facilities is a dynamic and innovative full-service HVAC and Building Services Company providing comprehensive, reliable, and cost-effective building maintenance and HVAC solutions serving Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington D.C. With offices in West Chester and Coatesville, PA, SSH Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician.


We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Building Engineer to join our growing team. Experience with commercial building maintenance is required. This role involves completing work orders, project work, and other required tasks within stated time frames. Handyperson, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general construction skills, as well as experience with on-demand maintenance requests, are necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete work order driven repairs within stated time frames
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and life safety checks on commercial buildings
  • Estimate repairs for quotes when necessary
  • Oversee work performed by outside contractors, as necessary
  • Work as a team on large-scale projects
  • Must be available to respond to emergencies during regular on-call rotation
  • Complete all work orders and documentation, and notes accurately and promptly
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with dispatch and office staff
Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead, climb ladders, and work at heights (e.g., rooftops)
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the day
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial building maintenance
  • Possess a set of basic hand tools
  • Hard working, dependable, a positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills
  • Clean driving record, criminal record, and the ability to pass a drug screening
  • Computer, phone, written, and personal skills are a plus
