Job title: Maintenance Technician-Class A Commercial High Rise
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join the team at a Class A commercial high-rise in New Orleans. This role supports the day-to-day maintenance and overall appearance of the building while working alongside a team of licensed building engineers. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong general maintenance experience who takes pride in their work and understands the expectations of a professional office environment.
Responsibilities:
· Complete daily maintenance tasks and work orders throughout the building
· Perform general repairs including painting (including clean, professional finish work) and sheetrock/drywall repair and patching
· Perform minor electrical repairs (lighting, outlets, switches) and minor plumbing (fixtures, leaks, clogs)
· Maintain common areas and tenant areas to Class A standards (clean, presentable, and well-kept)
· Assist building engineers with preventative maintenance and building systems
· Identify issues and report larger repairs to engineering team
· Interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and management
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
· Experience with painting and sheetrock/drywall repair required
· Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
· Reliable, punctual, and professional
