Job Summary

The Building Automation Installer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and programming building automation systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and programming of building automation systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Installation of multiple HVAC automation systems to specific specifications and drawings. Read and interpret control system design documents and mechanical blueprints. Wire and terminate control devices, sensors, and actuators. Install and maintain network infrastructure equipment, including servers, routers, switches, and cabling. Install communications cabling, wiring, and direct digital control system controllers and components. Interface with maintenance team members to execute repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipment. Install EMT and IMT conduit raceways. Interface with maintenance team members to execute repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipment. Understanding of and practical application of the National Electric Code.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and building automation systems required. Knowledge of automation controls systems (Distech, JCI, Siemens, ALC, etc. a plus) Solid understanding of automation controls, topology, and networking. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Attend training sessions to stay current with the latest technology and installation methods. Adaptable to apply the skills to field applications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Valid Driver's License.
