Position Overview: The Licensed Building Automation Electrician installs and supports Building Automation System (BAS) wiring, controls, and related electrical components in customer facilities. This role coordinates with project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while overseeing apprentice electricians onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
The Licensed Building Automation Electrician is responsible for installing Building Automation System (BAS) electrical materials, wiring, and equipment in compliance with current NEC code requirements. This role coordinates onsite installation activities with project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications; creating material lists; communicating project needs and updates; and overseeing apprentice electricians onsite. The position also requires completing project documentation and reporting using computers or tablets and traveling to job sites, including occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications:
  • Current Minnesota Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • BAS controls installation experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong understanding of NEC code
  • Ability to lead small crews and perform independent work
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, email and construction management software
