What You'll Do
  • Design electrical systems for new construction and retrofit projects across commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential developments.
  • Develop and coordinate designs for: 
    • Power distribution systems
    • Emergency and standby power systems
    • Incoming electrical services
    • Lighting systems
    • Life safety and related building electrical infrastructure
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and tender documentation.
  • Produce technical documentation for regulatory and authority approvals.
  • Review designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations, system analysis, and technical evaluations while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, electrical codes, industry standards, and authority requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to support integrated and coordinated project delivery.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to innovative design solutions that enhance functionality, sustainability, and long-term project performance.
What You Bring
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Minium 3-5 years of electrical design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Experience working on commercial, institutional, multi-residential, mixed-use, or high-rise building projects.
  • Strong understanding of building electrical systems and applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable design software, along with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
