About This Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Area Manager in CSM to lead a team of skilled Account Managers who serve as trusted technical advisors to customers across diverse industries. You'll be more than a sales leader - you'll be a strategic business partner developing high-performing teams while delivering advanced chemical water and process treatment solutions in X industry that improve energy and water sustainability, optimize profitability, and enhance asset protection.
What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Hire, coach, develop, and lead a team of Account Managers specializing in Cooling Water, Boiler Water, Wastewater, Memchem, and Process Applications
- Technical Excellence: Demonstrate expertise in chemical water and process treatment applications and coach your team in technical competency and problem-solving skills
- Strategic Growth: Drive revenue growth by leading targeted sales campaigns and securing new, recurring, profitable business opportunities for consistent year-over-year growth
- Value Creation: Implement Account Management Excellence Program including Service Plans, Value Generation Plans, and Business Reviews to demonstrate measurable customer value
- Performance Management: Achieve annual revenue targets and key metrics around margin, pricing, profitability, and account retention
- Business Development: Collaborate on strategic growth plans and maintain healthy sales funnels across your team's territories
- Safety Excellence: Ensure team works safely at all times, following all EHS policies and procedures
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering/Technologist (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), highly preferred. Or minimum 15+ years of direct experience in the field and water treatment industry can also qualify, high school education is required.
- Chemical water and process treatment experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated success in team development, revenue growth, and customer relationship building
- Experience with consultative selling and technical solution development
- A full valid driver's license and willingness to travel (a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify)
