As a Security Officer - Building Control in PHOENIX, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. At a leading financial institution location, you will serve at the front desk as a visible, professional presence, greeting visitors, managing access, and responding to security-related concerns with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a front desk location within a financial institution setting.
  • Monitor front desk activity, verify visitor access and identification as directed by site policies, and document arrivals, departures, and/or other security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support a professional front desk presence while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
