Job description

SVN Parke Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Building Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced commercial environment. This position requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including opening (6:00 AM–3:00 PM), day (8:00 AM–5:00 PM), and closing (9:30 AM–6:30 PM), with the possibility of overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to tenant service requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain logs and records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure building operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor building systems and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform general building repairs including light carpentry, painting, and plumbing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in building engineering or facility maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
  • Previous HVAC experience and/or EPA Universal Certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
