A Senior Building Inspector is responsible to review and inspect commercial buildings for adherence to safety codes and regulations. Ensures buildings conform to local, state and federal codes and regulations.

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Associates degree) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Safety Engineering preferred
  • Related discipline plus generally five years' experience as an inspector, building contractor, engineer or other building related trades.
  • ICC Combo commercial Inspector certification
  • Certified Electrical Plans Examiner
  • Knowledge to interpret building codes and ability to identify non-compliant installations as essential.
  • Good verbal communication skills with customers.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.

Home Based Position - Preferably Southeast USA - although other locations may be acceptable based on experience, etc. 

Candidate preferred to be located close to airport due to  travel requirements

What we offer:

  • Total Rewards:  We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

  • Inspects buildings for compliance with building codes, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems.
  • Reads and interprets building codes, standards, drawings, instructions, and specifications.
  • Identifies, records and reports deviations from codes and standards.  
  • Communicates with building owners and facility managers regarding code compliance, inspection procedures and related items.
  • Ensures speedy execution of inspections and reporting. 
  • Experienced with traditional and modular inspections and plan review
  • Experienced with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) products and industry.
  • Travel 60%+ (Domestic/International)
  • Educate and influence Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) as needed.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
  • The job requires business integrity, high ethical and safety compliance, and its adherence is paramount. The job involves travelling and meeting building owners/client
