Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

As a Concierge you will be responsible for answering questions, giving direction and making detailed reservations or recommendations. This position requires knowledge of hotel services, local events and venues and transportation options. This offers the opportunity to engage in casual conversation and to indulge special requests.

 Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following: 
  • Ensure guest requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Be fully knowledgeable of hotel facilities.
  • Be proactive; take initiative to update files and create new ones.
  • Advise guests of points of interest in the surrounding area, quickly and efficiently able to orient guests, and provide directions and in-depth recommendations.
  • Confirm bookings for theater, tours,
  • Able to develop an extensive local network in order to better and faster serve the Fontainebleau guests.
  • Be a team player: good communications with teammates is imperative.
  • Be willing to adapt to changes in job requirement.
  • Be comfortable in a demanding and high end environment and be able to work under pressure.
  • Work with integrity; respect all team members
  • Be willing to continuously increase knowledge and update information.
  • Be pleasant and courteous at all time.
  • Qualifications
    • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. 
    • Minimum of two years concierge operations experience. Previous hotel experience preferred.
    • Bilingual highly desirable.
    • High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred.
