The Building People LLC, are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer with advanced Niagara N4 experience to support the U.S. Army Reserve's Enterprise Building Control System (EBCS) program. This position is responsible for programming, integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting Niagara-based building automation systems across a seven-state region. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex controls challenges, optimizing HVAC system performance, and working independently on high-impact federal facilities projects.

Travel: Approximately 25% overnight travel throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Company-paid travel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot Niagara N4 building automation systems.
  • Upgrade existing JACE controllers to current EBCS standards.
  • Integrate field devices and JACEs into the Army Reserve Enterprise Building Control System (EBCS).
  • Configure graphics, databases, network communications, and control sequences.
  • Diagnose and resolve HVAC controls issues including sensors, programming, communications, and network faults.
  • Support Retro-Commissioning (Retro-Cx) projects through controls QA/QC.
  • Perform startup, commissioning, and functional performance testing.
  • Monitor enterprise BAS systems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and Army Reserve personnel.
  • Provide owner training and technical support.

Project Support

  • Attend EBCS stakeholder meetings.
  • Support contractor integrations.
  • Review controls work for quality.
  • Assist with project management.
  • Maintain project documentation.

*This position will require a minimum of 25% travel
