As an Area Sales Manager - Building Automation Service, you will lead a high-performing sales organization focused on achieving Order Intake targets while ensuring the right balance between top-line growth and margin quality. You will coach, develop, and equip Sales Executives to drive new logo acquisition, expand portfolio penetration within existing accounts, and execute winning go-to-market strategies. Acting as a strategic advisor to the Area General Manager (AGM), you will shape the area sales strategy and drive progressive growth across assigned segments and business lines.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will:
  • Drive sales and market growth by achieving annual Order Intake targets while maintaining strong margin discipline
  • Lead sales strategies that expand business line and segment growth through new customer acquisition and deeper penetration of existing accounts
  • Develop and execute long-range sales planning and growth strategies aligned with area and regional business objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Executives by providing clear structure, expectations, and operating cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  • Coach sellers through ride-alongs, field coaching, bid reviews, margin setting, and portfolio positioning
  • Serve as a sales resource and subject-matter leader on SI B products, applications, and services
  • Shape area go-to-market strategy by acting as a trusted advisor to the AGM on all sales and commercial initiatives
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to increase market awareness and generate pipeline growth
  • Assist sellers in identifying market opportunities, assessing trends, reviewing bids, and allocating resources effectively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted customers, contractors, and channel partners
  • Leverage internal experts, best practices, and innovation resources to strengthen Siemens' value proposition
  • Drive area-level execution of central initiatives to ensure consistency, standardization, and scalability across the sales organization

You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, building technologies, or related industries with a track record of driving revenue and margin improvement
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing sales teams in solution-based environments
  • High School diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Willing and able to travel 15%-20%
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

  • The pay range for this position is $135,000 - $231,000 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
