Brief Role Description
Identify requirements for maintenance and production resources to modify body weld systems to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost; responsible to gain consensus cross-functionally for process improvement opportunities; develop the production process to ensure processes meet safety standards, quality standards, cost targets, environmental and OSHA regulations; coordinate and/or lead projects within the Body Planning team and prioritize activities based upon business needs; create a continuous improvement environment to develop best-in-class production systems; coordinate production trials for model changes; coordinate team members and develop teamwork; coordinate activities with the maintenance team to minimize production delays due to equipment issues; develop systems to meet KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and analyze data to monitor performance, plan improvements, and identify potential countermeasure activities; monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity, and develop improvement activities for assigned areas of production; complete projects on schedule and within the annual administrative, operational, and capital budgets; provide direction and assistance to analyze production issues, propose countermeasures, and resolve issues; collaborate with other production departments, quality, production control, and engineering to provide best-in-class product quality; implement training plans to improve overall organizational capability of production department.
