160over90 is seeking a seasoned marketing strategist with a creative mindset and a deep passion for understanding what's new, now and next across the cultural landscape to join the Creator Marketing and Social team as a Social Strategist.

As a Social Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social and digital marketing strategies to build brand advocacy with existing fans and capture the attention of new customers. You will use your passion for social media to think big, take calculated risks, and propose bold programs that will make our clients stand out from the crowd. You will partner with clients and creatives to bring community and brand-enhancing work to market, across all social channels and stages of the customer journey.

The Social Strategist is the day-to-day expert, focused on unearthing and articulating cultural insights and social truths. You must be a passionate consumer of social media and infuse that knowledge into every aspect of the planning process. With a background in advertising, digital strategy, research, and/or account planning, you should be adept at identifying cultural trends that brands can tap into. You should also have a demonstrated ability to develop, design, and conduct primary and secondary research, insights immersions, and stakeholder workshops.

The Social Strategist ensures precision thinking and smart strategy is provided to internal and external clients and seeks to inspire teams with insight-driven, actionable briefs and compelling briefings for some of the most recognizable brands in the world such as Budweiser, Michelob ULTRA, Marriott Hotels, Visa, and Coca-Cola.

Responsibilities:

  • Articulates insights gleaned from social, conversational, and community trends, artfully organizing information from observations to strategic and actionable insights.

  • Develop social and community strategies, including driving the research direction and insights for the development of social campaigns and overseeing day-to-day execution.

  • Provide guidance on engagement and participation for our clients and community managers in evolving social media channels, identifying, and evaluating new opportunities as appropriate for client objectives.

  • Create and document best practices for community management, including workflows, tools, and responsibilities.

  • Evaluate, own, and optimize community management successes for clients.

  • Coordinate community engagement activations for large-tier social media and digital campaigns and events across markets.

  • Provide oversight for a team by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and holding them accountable to both successes and setbacks.

  • Work collaboratively across teams (XM, Paid, Partnerships, PR, etc.) and functions to ensure that the brand's communications/marketing objectives and strategies are met.

  • Craft influencer/creator archetypes that best fit the needs of a given campaign.

  • Help identify and vet influencer/creator's to support campaigns that will drive results and help meet project objectives.

  • Assist creator & social account teams in day to day client management including presentations, email/chat correspondences, and vendor/creator correspondences, and occasionally event staffing.

  • Provide creative support, providing unique solutions to strategic problems.

  • Manage reporting and measurement across social, digital and influencer campaigns, including crafting frameworks and dashboards against KPIs.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least five of experience in social media marketing at a digital agency, integrated marketing agency or communications firm.

  • A passion for social media, from both a branding and cultural perspective.

  • A deep understanding of best practices across social channels is a must.

  • A passion for communities and social media with a solid grasp of integrated communications and emerging trends.

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing creative, engaging, and successful social media advocacy programs for clients.

  • Experience in client relations, including having the ability to understand and assess a client's communication needs and meet those needs through successful social programs.

  • Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms, including Instagram and TikTok; experience with Infegy, Sprinklr, Sprout, and/or Brandwatch is a plus.

  • Familiarity with influencer identification and campaign management tools CreatorIQ and/or Tagger is a plus.

  • Experience overseeing social media community management and/or influencer programs for a large public brand is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a deadline-driven process.

  • Strong self-motivated and self-starting personality.

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Rate Minimum:

$71,250 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum:
