Job description

Flighthouse is a Gen Z media company and creative agency shaping internet culture in real time. With a network that reaches hundreds of millions across social platforms, we specialize in creating content that is platform-native, culturally fluent, and built to perform.
We partner with the world's leading entertainment studios, streamers, and consumer brands including Paramount Pictures, Amazon MGM Studios, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, and more to develop and produce social-first campaigns that break through. From original IP to branded content, our work lives at the intersection of storytelling, creators, and internet trends.
At our core, Flighthouse is built by people who understand the internet: how it moves, what resonates, and how to turn ideas into moments that audiences actually care about.
Job Summary
Flighthouse is seeking a Videographer & Editor to support the creation of social-first video content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
This is a hybrid production + post role for someone who is equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit. You'll capture compelling footage in fast-paced environments (from studio shoots to on-location activations) and transform it into highly engaging, platform-native content.
The ideal candidate understands how to shoot for social (not just traditional production), has strong instincts for pacing and storytelling, and thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment. You should be excited about making content that feels native to today's social ecosystem while supporting premium entertainment and brand partners. This is an in-office position, and you will be expected to work from our Los Angeles office as necessary, directed by your Manager.
Candidates must submit a portfolio or reel showcasing both shooting and editing work (social-first content preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Shoot social-first video content in studio and on location (interviews, creator formats, BTS, branded content, events, etc.)
  • Capture high-quality visuals using DSLR/mirrorless cameras; iPhone shooting is a strong plus
  • Set up and manage basic lighting and audio in both controlled and run-and-gun environments
  • Edit short- and mid-form content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
  • Apply platform-native storytelling techniques (hooks, pacing, retention-focused edits)
  • Collaborate with producers, creatives, and talent to bring concepts to life on set
  • Execute quick-turn edits based on performance feedback and creative direction
  • Support formatting, versioning, and delivery across platforms
  • Stay current on social trends, creator formats, and evolving platform behaviors
  • Troubleshoot production and post challenges in fast-moving environments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2 - 4 years of experience shooting and editing digital content (professional, freelance, or equivalent)
  • Strong camera skills with DSLR/mirrorless systems (studio + field production)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects is a plus
  • Strong understanding of social-first content and what performs across platforms
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit with pacing, rhythm, and audience retention in mind
  • Experience working in fast-paced production environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently on set and collaboratively with a team
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing both shooting and editing work (social-first content preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience shooting and editing on iPhone / mobile-first workflows
  • Familiarity with creator/influencer-driven content formats
  • Experience with multi-camera setups or interview lighting
  • Basic graphic design or thumbnail experience (Photoshop)
  • Understanding of platform analytics and performance metrics
  • Experience working with entertainment or branded content

Pay Scale
  • $21.63 - $24.03 per hour
  • The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
