Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Global Security Directorate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working on high and medium voltage power. Experience working with grid modeling and simulation and programs.
Responsibilities
  • Possess the ability to detect/create, exploit, and resolve vulnerabilities issues in power grids.
  • Ability to work with and lead a team of engineers and program designers.
  • Responsible for developing and hardening engineering solutions on medium to high voltage power lines

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years + experience in Power line test beds, identifying vulnerabilities in power grids.
  • For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
  • Ability to develop and operate powerline test beds for the evaluation of grid resilience and robustness.
  • Destructive/nondestructive vulnerability assessments is highly desired for both simulation development as well as test campaigns in the field.
  • Demonstrate solid technical leadership experience and be able to demonstrate the impact of research performed.
