This dual-entity role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our regulated marketplace. You will support the day-to-day operationalization of our compliance programs, ensuring strict adherence to CFTC Core Principles and FCA standards (via CoinDesk). This is a unique opportunity to work across trading, clearing, and benchmark administration in the evolving digital asset space.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and operationalizing compliance programs for the DCM and DCO in accordance with CFTC Core Principles and regulations.
  • Monitor global regulatory developments (specifically CFTC) and assess their operational impact on both entities.
  • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, rule amendments, and required notices to the CFTC.
  • Assist in responding to regulatory examinations, formal inquiries, and information requests.
  • Help maintain and update DCM rulebooks, trading rules, and market integrity policies.
  • Coordinate ongoing compliance matters pertaining to our Designated SRO agreement.
  • In coordination with our DSRO, review position limit hedge exception requests as required.
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings to review Market Regulation updates and surveillance findings with our DSRO.
  • Assist in monitoring DCO compliance with Part 39 requirements, including financial resource standards, risk management, and customer protection.
  • Support the compliance-driven development and testing of default management procedures, stress testing frameworks, and margin methodologies.
  • Ensure cross-departmental compliance with System Safeguard requirements (monthly, quarterly, and annual updates).
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports when potential rule violations or reporting breaches are identified.
  • Serve as an integral part of the CoinDesk Indices & Data benchmark oversight and administration function, specifically maintaining the UK BMR license and managing FCA notifications.
  • Draft, review, and update internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Facilitate the integration of new products and business initiatives through rigorous compliance review.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within a DCM, DCO, SEF, or FCM environment.
  • Familiarity with CFTC Regulations (Parts 37, 38, and 39) and NFA rules. Knowledge of UK BMR and FCA regulations is a plus.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable internal procedures.
  • Excellent written communication skills, specifically for drafting rulebooks and investigation reports.
  • Comfort working in the fast-paced digital asset industry; ability to learn the Financial Promotions regime and benchmark administration quickly.
Preferred
  • Experience with digital assets or blockchain technology and their regulatory implications is a significant plus.
  • Experience with compliance monitoring systems (e.g., transaction monitoring, e-comm surveillance).
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., NY CRR Part 200 Virtual Currency Regulations, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC) and of federal regulations (e.g. FINRA and SEC rules) is a plus.

Bullish US LLC & CoinDesk Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + performance incentives/benefits. Offered salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
