Role Overview:
Security Engineer Il will participate in all aspects of information systems and network security including intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability assessment, application security and compliance with the corporate information security policy. Primarily be responsible for implementing, operating and improving security technologies including DLP, Antivirus, IPS/IDS, End Point Protection, Database Activity Monitoring, Web Application Firewall and processes. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security technologies (e.g., DLP, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, WAF) to protect systems, networks, and data.
  • Monitor security environments for threats, investigate incidents, and lead or support incident response and remediation efforts.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security architecture reviews to identify and mitigate security exposures.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and optimize security tools and processes, including automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support security audits, compliance activities, and reporting, while collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen security strategy and operational effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years in Security Engineering, Operations, or Planning.
  • Strong hands-on experience in medium to complex environments with expertise in enterprise security technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security, or network access controls).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, integrating, and operating information security technologies and processes within enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and security architecture principles.
  • Ability to independently analyze complex problems, exercise sound judgment, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders, along with experience creating technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or SANS certifications.
  • Experience defining or contributing to enterprise security strategies and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP) and secure authentication technologies.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments with strong attention to detail and collaboration skills.

Salary range: $70,000 - $99,200
