Location: Coos Bay, OR
Must be available for weekends
A Pod Leader oversees the proper cleaning of one or more janitorial client job sites. They lead a team of janitors called a POD. A pod is comprised of three or more janitors including the POD Lead who work together to accomplish the mission set before them. Though each janitor is held accountable for their own work ethic and behavior, the Pod Leader is ultimately responsibility for the site and must ensure that the work is accomplished per the site scope and to BAE standards.
The POD Leader has the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for team oversight, coordination, and tracking of a specific shift or day of activities assigned to a POD.
  • Perform routine, repetitive general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and empty trash.
  • Operate and maintain janitorial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishers, and equipment carts.
  • Maneuver heavy objects utilizing safe lifting and moving techniques.
  • Recognize public safety hazards. Understand and apply health and sanitization standards, and safe waste disposal procedures. Use appropriate stain removal techniques in cleaning and cleaning solvents.
  • The POD Leader is responsible for on-sight training of POD team members.
  • The POD leader is responsible for checking site inventories are accurate and restocked.
  • Ensure prompt preparation and collection of shifts Job Coach reports, client time sheets, incident reports, jobsite inspections, inventories, trainings, and other logs and checklists.
  • Develop and implement communication process between team members.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on status of the job sites assigned to the POD.
  • Follow safety procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Read and understand operating, policy and procedure manuals.
  • Able to perform the duties and functions of a Job Coach.
  • Attend required and routine trainings. Maintain all required certifications and licensures.
  • POD's travel between sites in a company vehicle. This position requires a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • All other duties as assigned to ensure that the department and organizational strategic goals and mission are met.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Present a professional image
  • Be able to sit, stand, move, and lift 20 lbs. for extended periods of time
  • Must be available for all shifts, including weekends, to meet client needs
  • Must be able to pass federal, state, and local background checks.
  • Must pass drug test to include random drug testing (THC not included)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
