POSITION PURPOSE

The Digital Product Manager is responsible for the capture and ideation of business requirements and digital product strategy and overall management of digital product lifecycles. This position collaborates with other teams and business stakeholders and guides development teams in tackling complex and challenging problems to enhance the members' digital experience by offering innovative solutions. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • This role reports to this job: DIRECTOR, DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
  • Necessary Contacts: To do this job effectively the incumbent has to be in contact with all levels of Blue Cross management, Marketing personnel, vendors, Strategic Communications staff as well as key subject matter experts both internal and external

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Bachelor's Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Human Centered Design, or a related field required.
  • Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience

  • 5 years relevant business experience, including 3 or more years in a digital function required
  • Demonstrated solid business acumen combined with strong technical foundations and effective people management abilities to create and sustain an environment to succeed.
  • Epic Systems Suite of Applications experience preferred
  • 3 years of Working knowledge of Digital experiences across Enterprise and Healthcare products and services preferred
  • Experience with program planning across portfolios, programs, and departments (Lean Portfolio Management) preferred
  • Experience leading and working in an agile environment (SAFe) preferred
  • Experience working directly with IT, Marketing, Enterprise Information Management preferred
  • Technical knowledge & experience with the following: Personalization MarTech platform (CMS, Target, etc.) APIs Mobile (Responsive & Native) preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of Project Management/agile scrum process, agile product owner role and digital product management.
  • Proficient knowledge of data analysis and research techniques.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to executive leadership, driving accountability and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and a high degree. of independence.

  • Accountable for strategic leadership of one or more engineering teams in a matrixed reporting model.
  • Defines and develops digital product strategy towards delivering a best-in-class technology solution.
  • Develops digital product roadmaps, business cases, epics, features, reports, acceptance criteria, and business outcome hypotheses
  • Ensures product and servicing plans and goals are met, as applicable.
  • Responsible for digital product management activities for a product group.
  • Works with development teams and project management resources to ensure optimum efficiency and effective delivery.
  • Create and adjust digital product strategy and adjust strategies for one or more product groups.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of Product requirement backlogs.
  • Responsible for building stakeholder relationships across the company and proactively identifying business needs
  • Applies expertise in state-of-the-art digital technologies.
  • Employs design thinking to bring world class experiences to market across multiple touch points.
  • Improves the overall work of engineering teams by injecting strategic and innovative thinking in digital product and service solutions.
  • Leads team in implementing data driven and user centered methodologies to optimize digital experiences across dotcom, mobile and emerging platforms to drive KPIs.
  • Leads team in developing best in class processes to collect data, customer and stakeholder feedback, derive insights, and inform product decisions.
  • Collaborates with and influences senior leaders, product managers, developers, vendors, designers and other stake holders to ensure successful product strategies.
