Job description

Job Summary:
First Tek, Inc. is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to play a key role in delivering high-impact IT and digital initiatives across Alaska. The role involves managing project plans, budgets, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful project outcomes in the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and track project plans, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and risks
• Prepare status reports for leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned to business goals; escalate risks as needed
• Support product owner and business analysts with business case development, stakeholder alignment, budget preparation, vendor and alternatives analysis, execution, governance, risk tracking, and OCM planning throughout the SDLC
• Support and advise on both agile and traditional project management practices as applicable, including development of related artifacts
• Recommend appropriate project management tools and methodology (waterfall, agile, hybrid) based on project requirements
• Serve as scrum master for facilitating events, sprint planning, and execution
• Lead UAT administration including testing configuration, design, and execution
• Support transition of projects to ongoing support, lead knowledge transfer, capture lessons learned, and complete close activities
• Support AFE preparation (FEL & EXE phases) and other financial documentation
• Support budget development, forecasting, monthly estimates and cost submissions, and year-end close activities for programs and projects as assigned
• Support third-party project controls including budgeting, plan-forward activities, MSA renewals, service confirmations, and invoice tracking
• Coordinate with third-party vendors across Alaska locations and provide light AV program coordination across Anchorage Tower, Kuparuk, Alpine, and Willow
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5 or more years of experience in information technology
• 2 or more years of experience in project management
• 2 or more years of experience building and tracking project budgets
• Basic knowledge of SAFe Agile delivery and/or PMI principles
• PMP certification
• SAFe Scrum Master or other scrum master certification
• Experience with the following applications: S/4HANA, PIMS, GEP, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Jira, Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, Information Science, or equivalent experience
Preferred:
• Master's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, Information Science, or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent)
