SUMMARY

Brooklyn Basketball brings the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty together to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional content, unique basketball experiences, and much more. Brooklyn Basketball is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Equipment & Merchandise Coordinator to support merchandise, apparel, and equipment operations across Brooklyn Basketball programs, events, retail activities, and facilities.

The Equipment & Merchandise Coordinator, Brooklyn Basketball will report to the Director of Business Operations, Brooklyn Basketball, and will play a key role in ensuring that apparel, merchandise, giveaways, and program equipment are ordered, stored, tracked, and distributed accurately and efficiently across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the end-to-end ordering process for merchandise, apparel, equipment, giveaways, and retail products, including forecasting needs, vendor coordination, approvals, invoicing, budgeting, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the organization, storage, labeling, tracking, and auditing of merchandise, apparel, equipment, and retail inventory.
  • Coordinate the distribution, transfer, and deployment of equipment and gear across Brooklyn Basketball programs, events, facilities, community activations, and partner initiatives.
  • Support retail operations by receiving products, replenishing inventory, reconciling sales logs, and executing end-of-day inventory procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment-related vendor and partner relationships, internally and externally, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain inventory procedures, reporting tools, and operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and inventory accuracy across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in equipment operations, inventory management, retail operations, or a related field.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software; experience with inventory-management or order-tracking systems is preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, organize, and transport boxes, apparel, merchandise, and sports equipment.
  • Knowledge of basketball programming and the equipment needs associated with programs.
  • Valid United States driver's license preferred.

COMPENSATION

$66,500 - $68,500

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will work across an office and facility environments and will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, clinics, etc. This role will require commitment to work hours on evenings and weekends.
