Stern at Home Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in the Bronx, NY. You'll provide one-on-one occupational therapy services in patients' homes, helping older adults improve their independence, safety, and quality of life while collaborating closely with experienced Occupational Therapists.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living safely and independently.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and home safety.
  • Accurately document patient progress using our electronic medical record system.
  • Communicate regularly with supervising OTs and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Travel between patient homes within your designated Bronx coverage area.

Qualifications

  • Current New York Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Bronx
  • Home health experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
