Location: 211 N. Broadway. Ste 700, St. Louis, MO 63102 (Needs to be local to MO) - M-F, 8-5 - Hybrid (3-4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Job Description:

Mission

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the implementation of software projects for clients, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish. This role demands strong communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities to effectively engage with both technical and business stakeholders. The TPM will leverage a robust technical background in databases, cloud technologies, system architecture, infrastructure, networking, and Active Directory (AD) to drive projects forward, manage risks, and maintain project timelines and dependencies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include,:

โ€ข Evaluates request for proposals (RFPs) and vendor proposals for security risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

โ€ข Communicates processes and updates clearly to the team, vendors, and partners.

โ€ข Works independently and with the team to make informed decisions and manage project scope and schedule changes.

โ€ข Measures performance, manages client relationships, and establishes third-party vendor partnerships.

โ€ข Creates and maintains project documentation, reporting daily on status and progress.

โ€ข Anticipates and mitigates risks, resolves issues proactively, and manages migration plans.

โ€ข Communicates project expectations, risks, and escalations across all organizational levels.

โ€ข Ensures compliance with BSD standards for change control and successful project delivery.

โ€ข Manages Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and resources, providing technical guidance and safeguards for software initiatives.

โ€ข Maintains clear customer-facing documentation, defining roles and responsibilities.

โ€ข Updates and organizes project documents, including RACI, RAID, and archives.

โ€ข Assists the CIO with strategic planning, capturing new ideas, and proposing solutions.

โ€ข Supports project implementation when resources are limited and may assist with software administration and audit reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

โ€ข Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Monday.com, Smartsheets, excel, Jira, ITSM). Familiarity with software development processes and system architecture. Oracle Database and architecture knowledge are preferred.

โ€ข Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

โ€ข Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to varied audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.

โ€ข Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.

โ€ข Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing project performance data and making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
