Job description

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide exceptional technical support for end-user computing environments across Windows, Linux and macOS platforms. The successful candidate will be a versatile IT professional able to support a broad range of desktop, networking, and infrastructure technologies, with a focus on problem solving and superior customer satisfaction. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to work as part of a small yet hard working team. The office location is based in Burlington, Ontario

Responsibilities include: 

  • Maintain and action general Helpdesk queues for IT Support 
  • Windows, Linux and macOS administration, support and troubleshooting
  • Provision, deploy, upgrade, and manage end-user computing devices
  • Support user account administration, authentication, and endpoint security technologies
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint patching, antivirus, encryption, and backup solutions
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 applications, collaboration tools, and end-user productivity solutions
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
  • IP Networking (TCP/IP, Subnetting, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Monitor and maintain wireless access points
  • Monitor and maintain network printers, scanners, and other shared office technologies
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Contribute to IT projects, technology deployments, office moves, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications: 

  • Post-Secondary graduate in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Minimum Experience: 2-4 years.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites/Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
