Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a Video Broadcast Training Specialist.  The Video Broadcast Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering highquality in-person training for adult learners across diverse technical domains. This role partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project teams, and leadership to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong instructional design skills and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.

This position is located in Washington, D.C

  • Develop, deliver, and facilitate instructor-led training sessions for adult learners.
  • Apply adult learning theories and instructional best practices to create effective training experiences.
  • Design and update training materials, including presentations, curricula, exercises, assessments, and job aids.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content suitable for a wide range of learners.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Assist instructional design team by providing subject-matter expertise to develop engaging digital learning modules and other instructional aids.
  • Manage multiple training projects, timelines, and stakeholders while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Utilize learning evaluation methods to assess training effectiveness and incorporate continuous improvements.
  • Support onboarding efforts, performance support initiatives, and continuous learning programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer requirement trends, tools, and technologies in training, instructional design, and adult learning.
  • Work in fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying priorities.
  • Produce professional deliverables using Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 9 years with HS diploma
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Presidential Support Duty (PSD) designation.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience in event-style audio visual and video production.
  • Experience with event video production systems to include audio mixers, production lighting, video recording equipment, live stream solutions, multi-camera production systems and robotic cameras.
  • Experience in setting up and operating professional camera equipment and mobile livestreaming devices, for on-location coverage, special events, and taped interviews, ensuring high-quality video capture under various conditions.
  • Experience training adult learners in technical or complex subject areas.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with conducting thorough equipment checks and performing troubleshooting procedures to ensure the reliability and functionality of audio, camera, and livestream equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of Sony camera systems (Z-750 ENG Form factor), electronic news gathering techniques, and compositional design.
  • Basic networking knowledge on installing routers and SRT encoder devices for live streaming operations.
  • Familiarity of adult learning theories (e.g., andragogy, experiential learning).
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMSs) and training evaluation frameworks.
  • A certification in instructional delivery or equivalent military trainer certification course (CompTIA CTT+, ATD APTD/CPTD, etc.).

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
