Job description

Amazon's Journey Orchestration team is hiring a technically skilled Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the end-to-end build and execution of global email, SMS, and push notification campaigns for corporate and hourly hiring. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role - you will write HTML/CSS code daily, configure automation workflows, troubleshoot rendering issues, and ship campaigns at global scale across Amazon's owned channels (amazon.jobs, hiring.amazon.com).
The Journey Orchestration team within the Attraction, Influence, and Marketing (AIM) organization manages lifecycle marketing to acquire, nurture, and convert potential applicants - a free, owned marketing channel critical to Amazon's hiring goals. This role directly enables AIM's 2026 objective to achieve non-paid application share for Workforce Staffing and increase talent pipelines for Talent Acquisition.
You are responsible for building responsive email templates from scratch, programming campaign logic within CRM and marketing automation platforms, conducting cross-client QA, and launching data-driven lifecycle journeys that deliver exceptional candidate experiences at scale. You will partner with Developers, Creative, Data Science, Analytics, Journey Planning, Legal, and Product teams to connect lifecycle activity to hiring outcomes.
The ideal candidate writes clean, responsive HTML and CSS for email, has deep platform expertise in CRM/marketing automation tools, thrives in fast-moving environments, and has a track record of shipping high-volume lifecycle campaigns independently. You are not just planning campaigns - you are building and launching them.
Key job responsibilities
Technical Build & Coding (Primary)
• Write and maintain responsive HTML email templates using HTML5, CSS3, and inline styling techniques that render correctly across 50+ email client/device combinations (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, mobile)
• Debug and resolve rendering issues including CSS compatibility gaps, image blocking, dark mode behavior, and responsive breakpoints
• Use 3P tools (Litmus, Email on Acid) to QA, test, and optimize templates pre-launch
• Implement dynamic content blocks, conditional logic, and personalization tokens within email templates
• Maintain and evolve a scalable email template library with modular, reusable components
Platform Configuration & Automation
• Configure and manage campaign workflows, triggers, and automation sequences within CRM/CMS platforms (PinPoint, Connect, Brightspot)
• Build audience segments using candidate data attributes, behavioral signals, and journey stage logic
• Set up A/B and multivariate tests including split logic, holdout groups, and statistical significance thresholds
• Troubleshoot technical issues with tracking pixels, UTM parameters, link routing, and automation triggers
• Implement country-specific campaign variations including localization logic, compliance rules, and send-time optimization
Campaign Execution & Performance
• Own end-to-end execution of global lifecycle campaigns: journey-based automations and ad hoc launches for warehouse jobs, corporate professionals, and field marketing support requests
• Monitor and report on campaign performance using Adobe Analytics and platform-level data, covering CTR, open rates, conversion rates, deliverability, and list health metrics
• Identify underperforming campaigns, channels, or tactics and make documented decisions to optimize or sunset
• Establish a repeatable testing cadence and deliver stakeholder-facing performance reports with data-backed recommendations
• Manage execution timelines and coordinate cross-functional dependencies to hit launch dates
A day in the life
Your morning starts in code - you are building a new responsive email template for a WFS campaign launching next week, testing inline CSS across Outlook and Gmail, and fixing a dark mode rendering issue flagged in Litmus. Mid-morning, you configure a new automated journey in PinPoint for corporate talent nurture, setting up audience segments based on candidate engagement signals and job preferences. After lunch, you pull Adobe Analytics data to assess last week's A/B test results, document findings, and adjust subject line and CTA strategy for the next send. You close the day coordinating with Legal on compliance copy for a new country launch and QA-ing the final proof before scheduling a global SMS campaign.
About the team
The Journey Orchestration team is responsible for owned channel strategy (web, app, email, SMS, SEO) in Amazon's Attraction, Influence, and Marketing (AIM) organization, which helps hire hundreds of thousands of Amazonians every year.
