Job Title: Bridgeport Machinist
Status: Non-exempt
Pay: $28-32/hr. DOE, plus monthly bonus program is paid when company-wide monthly sales goal is reached (full-time).
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Prototrak controls (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators).
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and machining best practices.

REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and machine parts with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Excellent work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Program, set up, and operate Prototrak DPM Bed Mills to machine parts from start to finish.
  • Plan machining processes for complex or non-standard parts, including sequencing operations and selecting appropriate tooling.
  • Build and modify tooling as needed, including fixtures, soft jaws, custom jaws, and other work holding solutions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to verify parts and make adjustments to maintain tolerances.
  • Perform rework and repair machining when required, using sound judgment to restore parts to specification.
  • Communicate with Engineering to clarify prints, tolerances, materials, and machining strategies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform other necessary duties and tasks as requested.
