Structures Superintendent - Long Bridge South Project
Trumbull Corporation
Trumbull Corporation is seeking an experienced Structures Superintendent to help lead field operations on Long Bridge South project, a major Design-Build rail infrastructure project over the Potomac River connecting Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C. The project expands a critical national rail corridor from two to four tracks, separating CSXT freight and Amtrak/VRE passenger rail, and includes a new bicycle-pedestrian bridge connecting Long Bridge Park to D.C.'s Potomac Parks. Work takes place adjacent to live rail traffic and over water, with the new structure designed for a 100-year service life.
What You'll Do
  • Plan crew activities, equipment, and materials with the Project Superintendent
  • Coordinate with other Superintendents for efficient labor and equipment use
  • Review plans pre-construction to flag errors and cost-saving opportunities
  • Oversee budgets and monitor safety compliance, including around live rail and marine work
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers on material delivery timing
  • Supervise Foremen to ensure safe, on-spec, on-budget work
  • Manage Change Orders and document Extra Work with Foremen and Project Manager

What You Bring
  • 12+ years of heavy civil/highway construction experience
  • Strong bridge and concrete structure construction background
  • Proficient in plan reading, forming systems, and concrete placement methods
  • Marine construction experience preferred
  • Ability to adjust methods when safety or budget targets are at risk
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communicator with experience working alongside inspectors and owners
