Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for preparing designs, hydraulic analyses, structural analyses, cost estimates, scoping reports, inspection reports, structure size & type reports, and contract documents for new bridge projects, bridge rehabilitation projects, and bridge replacement projects.
  • Recruitment of new talent and contribution to a positive company culture
  • Responsible for structural design, transportation and geometric roadway design, plan development, public presentation, specification writing, drainage calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimating, utility coordination, permitting, technical report writing, and assisting in bridge inspections (regular and special inspections).
  • Work within a team environment to develop, manage, and design Bridge projects for state and local clients. The candidate will lead and manage the financial, scheduling, and technical aspects of the project.
  • Efficiently and clearly be able to communicate project status items to the Bridge Team and clients.
  • Supervise all aspects of project development, including proposal development, environmental permitting, and utility coordination.

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:
2-6 years of professional work experience in transportation design
Bachelor of Science (BSCE) in Civil Engineering
Indiana Professional Engineer Licensure or ability to obtain one in four years
Preferred:
Working knowledge of INDOT Design Manual standards, specifications, and procedures
Have working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
Basic experience in programming, macros, or task automation
Strong sense of organization
