What does a bricklayer do?

Bricklayers set brickwork for a variety of construction projects, such as sidewalks, driveways, or buildings. Bricklayers can work as independent contractors or part of a larger contracting company. Those who are self-employed meet with your clients and other contractors to understand the scope of the job, estimate the cost of materials such as the brick, mortar, clay, and concrete, and provide an estimate for the timeline. When you build smaller projects, such as a front path, you may work alone. More extensive projects typically require several bricklayers.

What does a bricklayer do?

A bricklayer is a skilled tradesperson who builds and repairs walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of masonry materials.
