Job description

At SWAT Environmental, we install "Radon Mitigation Systems" protect homes and businesses across the nation from the harmful effects of Radon, which is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that escapes when uranium in the soil decays and can become concentrated in a home, seeping through cracks and openings in the foundation (basements). The EPA recommends that structures testing above 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter) have a Radon Mitigation System installed.
We are seeking Candidates that live within 25 miles of Hartland, MI - 48353

Essential Functions:
  • Inspect homes and work with customers to determine the most effective placement of radon mitigation systems.
  • Install radon mitigation systems by drilling holes, cutting & running PVC pipes, installing fans, and sealing holes.

Who Qualifies?
  • We are looking to give "paid" training & certification to those with hands-on experience in the following fields: (such as a Maintenance Techs • Plumbers/Pipe Fitters • Construction & Day Laborers • Roofers • HVAC Techs • Electricians, Carpenters • Handyman • Journeyman • Apprentices • Pest Control • Remodelers • Framers • Concrete/Brick Layers • Cell Tower Techs, etc.) who are looking for a career that enhances your skill sets. Military definitely Welcome !!!

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 1+ years' experience in construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades, or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
  • Work on ladders at 40 feet or higher.
  • Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Operate drill, hole-saw, coring drills, and other hand tools safely.
  • Acquire and maintain required certifications.
  • Use technology (mobile phones, tablets, laptops).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
