  • Build familiarity with a variety of industries, companies, and newsmakers in the Bay Area.
  • Monitor both automated and cultivated human sources to identify breaking news.
  • Prioritizes what is newsworthy in real time. Cross-checks facts to ensure accuracy, especially critical during fast-moving situations. Distills complex developments into clear, digestible information.
  • Publish daily content, 12 plus articles per week
  • Find trends in daily coverage that lead to in-depth reporting, scoops, exclusives and breaking news.
  • Attend business events to meet and identify sources.
  • Attend all required ACBJ events
  • Take on any other assignment made by manager(s).
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all colleagues and sources
