Job description

Job Overview:The restaurant busser will reset serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning tables throughout all hours of operation in order to ensure proper service to all guests.
Essential Functions:
  • Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
  • Set tables with required items such as napkins, linens and silverware
  • Place tableware on tables
  • Serve water and bread baskets where needed.
  • Refill beverages
  • Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
  • Clean and reset tables after guests leave
  • Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist servers and hosts when necessary
  • Maintain the lounge and restaurant areas in a neat and orderly condition at all times.
  • Assist servers in constantly checking tables for condition of plates, empty glasses, cleanliness, etc.
  • Sweep and/or mop all restaurant areas at the end of every shift, removing, cleaning and replacing matting each time.

Job Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience
  • Preferred to have 1-2 years' experience in high volume, luxury lounge or restaurant
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal in working with high-profile clients and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
  • Standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying
  • Bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
