Job description

Burger King is seeking a Cook I (Food & Beverage) team member to prepare food items, maintain kitchen operations, and ensure food quality and safety standards are met. Cooks are responsible for preparing menu items such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and breakfast items according to company recipes and procedures. Employees operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment, assemble food orders, restock kitchen inventory, clean kitchen stations, and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. This position typically pays $14 to $18 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, night shift pay differential, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on location and experience. Cooks are responsible for preparing food quickly and accurately, monitoring food quality, maintaining proper food temperatures, stocking kitchen ingredients, cleaning kitchen equipment and workstations, assisting with deliveries, and following company food safety and sanitation procedures. Employees must work efficiently during busy periods and communicate with team members to ensure orders are completed on time. Full-time and part-time employees may be eligible for benefits including flexible scheduling, employee meal discounts, paid time off for eligible employees, health insurance for full-time employees, and opportunities for advancement into Shift Leader, Kitchen Supervisor, or Assistant Manager roles.
