Job description

This client is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager who will lead and contribute to the development of embedded systems for medical and robotics applications. You'll manage a team while remaining active in technical tasks, overseeing architecture decisions, and collaborating across engineering teams. This is a full time position that is onsite north of Boston, MA.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in developing embedded systems, including hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation software (ex. SPICE)
  • Strong grasp of digital and analog circuit design principles
  • Comfortable with communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
  • Skilled at debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to define system and hardware architecture
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management level role
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in regulated industries, ideally medical technology or life sciences (knowledge of 60601 and/or 61010 standards is a plus)
  • Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
