POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior VDC Manager is responsible formanaging the usage of VDC technologies for a given project or multipleprojects, including the completion of any contractual requirements andutilizing the technology to maximize productivity and risk mitigation.Responsible for directing and mentoring on-site, regional, and corporate staff.The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strongleadership, organizational, and time management skills, as well as strongcommunication and client service skills.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform constructability reviews and work with Estimators on alternate construction means and methods, site logistics, general requirements, hoisting systems, and staffing requirements.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings with the Owner / Architect for the BIM and VDC efforts on a project.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Assign project team responsibilities. Establish administrative procedures, develop performance goals, and follow up to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among various project participants
  • Support Division Management in recruiting, training, and mentoring new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard company processes and utilization of technology.
  • Manage the software agreements and renewals for everything needed in the VDC department.
  • Prepare the VDC information within the monthly Project Status Reports. Identify and manage risk and opportunities proactively and develop mitigation and captures strategies.
  • Monitor the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and hold status meetings with subcontractors.
  • Manages Subcontractor performance. Provide notices and take corrective actions for any performance or quality issues.
  • Assist the company in marketing and business development efforts and advise management of potential project opportunities.
  • Attend interviews with clients for prospective projects, as needed, in your surrounding region(s).
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdown for VDC for each project to be input into the historical cost database.
  • Sit in on interviews for all earlier positions in the VDC path.
  • Provide check-ins and yearly evaluations for VDC members on your team.
  • Duties as listed in the VDC Manager description.
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
