PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON OF 2026-27.  WE WILL NOT START THE INTERVIEWING PROCESS UNTIL MID-AUGUST WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MID-SEPTEMBER. Have you ever thought about working in sports?

We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears.  Whether you are a college student, a teacher with a flexible schedule, someone looking to re-enter the workforce, or someone just looking for additional income, our part-time, event roles could be perfect for you.

 

What our Part-Time hiring process is like:

While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role.  After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.

After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Engagement team.  Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email.  We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.

 

 

A quick summary about the Part-Time Event Activation Representative role: 

This role will be responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of pre-game FanFest, concourse activation, selecting contestants for all in-game activation including tasks such as preparing props and equipment, managing on-court setup and breakdown, coordinating contestant selection, and overseeing related logistics.& STUFF’s Magic Castle operation including but not limited to: setup of event space as directed in a timely manner, assist in execution of corporate partner activations and entertainment elements, ensure STUFF’s Magic Castle is operated safely and within guidelines, support in breakdown of equipment and various displays, concourse entertainment activation and oversight of the storage spaces.  Represent the Orlando Magic with an enthusiastic, outgoing and positive attitude during all home games. 

 What the position will be responsible for: 

Game Nights - FanFest

  • Set up inflatables, interactive spaces, sponsor areas, tables, tents, chairs, etc. outside the Kia Center at Fan Fest before Orlando Magic home games
  • Interact with fans to promote upcoming Magic games and events, enhance participation in interactive areas, and assist in sponsor activation
  • Breakdown of Fan Fest, including all inflatables, tables, tents, chairs, etc. while maintaining neat and clean storage areas

Game Nights – Concourse Activation

  • Setup STUFF’s Magic Castle to prior to fans entering the Kia Center including:
    • Sanitizing Castle play surfaces
    • Preparing any games/activities planned
    • Arranging crowd control devices at entrance/exit
  • Manage the ingress and egress of STUFF’s Magic Castle by communicating and enforcing guidelines and policies to guests
  • Maintain a fun and professional environment while creating legendary moments for all fans
  • Assist with concourse entertainment setup and break down, as needed
  • Preparing props and equipment, managing on-court setup and breakdown, coordinating contestant selection, and overseeing related logistics.

Game Nights – A-Team

  • Responsible for selecting contestants for all contests in game
  • Responsible for waivers, prizing & setup for all contest
  • Understand the purpose of each contest and execute with professionalism
  • Enhance the fan experience by creating Legendary Moments through positive fan interaction

    General Responsibilities

    • Positively represent and serve as an ambassador for the Orlando Magic brand always
    • Represent the Orlando Magic well to our customers by being polite, courteous, friendly and hard working
    • All other duties as assigned.
       

      What is required for the role:

      • High School graduate or equivalent experience
      • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
      • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
      • Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
      • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
         Physical requirements
        • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
        • Ability to stand on feet for 5-6 hours per game
