A Bread Route job involves delivering and stocking bread and baked goods to stores, restaurants, and other businesses within a designated territory. Route owners or drivers typically work early morning hours, ensuring fresh products are available daily. Responsibilities include managing inventory, maintaining relationships with store managers, and sometimes purchasing the route as an independent distributor. Earnings vary based on the number of accounts and sales volume.
To thrive as a Bread Route driver, you need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, familiarity with basic inventory management, and good physical stamina. Experience with handheld route-logging devices or delivery tracking systems is often required. Jimmy John's Delivery Biker's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quick as can be. We do this by learning the most efficient route, double checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for, and hustling on our feet (while always being safe and law abiding while on the street). Bikers take home cash everyday.
While not on the road, Bikers work in-shop and get compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days.
