To succeed as a Bread Merchandiser, you need knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and display merchandising, usually gained through experience in grocery or food sales. Familiarity with planogram software, handheld inventory scanners, and basic point-of-sale systems is beneficial. Strong organization, time management, and communication skills help you efficiently service multiple store locations and build positive relationships with store staff. As a Bread Merchandiser, your main responsibilities include visiting grocery stores or retailers on an established route, checking bread stock levels, rotating products, removing stale items, and setting up attractive displays to maximize sales. You will also be responsible for inventory checks, placing orders for restocking, and ensuring all promotional materials are correctly displayed. Collaboration with store managers and staff is key to securing optimal shelf space and addressing any concerns regarding deliveries or product quality. Most Bread Merchandisers work independently and are on their feet for much of the day, making the role ideal for someone who enjoys being active and interacting with others.
A Bread Merchandiser is responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining fresh bread and bakery products in retail stores. They ensure that shelves are well-stocked, rotated for freshness, and attractively displayed to maximize sales. Bread Merchandisers often work early mornings, visit multiple store locations, and collaborate with store managers to maintain good relationships. This role requires physical activity, attention to detail, and good communication skills. It plays a crucial role in ensuring customers have access to fresh bakery items while supporting the brand's sales goals.

Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40 F to -10 F
