What is a brand manager?

Brand Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing and developing a company's brand image, ensuring that products, services, and communications consistently reflect the brand's values and identity. They analyze market trends, coordinate with marketing and creative teams, and develop strategies to enhance brand recognition and loyalty. Brand Managers play a key role in shaping how customers perceive a brand and work to increase its value in the marketplace.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a brand manager?

To thrive as a Brand Manager, you need expertise in marketing strategy, brand positioning, and consumer behavior, often supported by a degree in marketing, business, or a related field. These skills are crucial for building brand equity, driving market growth, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

A Brand Manager works closely with teams such as marketing, product development, sales, and communications to ensure that all messaging and visual elements align with the brand's identity. • Maintain and support Salesforce reporting related to Brand Marketing activities and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate and organize brand marketing resources including presentations, newsletters, quarterly playbooks, templates, and internal communications.
  • Serve as the Brand Marketing team's Salesforce Sales Cloud focal point, identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and visibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand initiatives support broader business, marketing, customer, and operational objectives.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned by the employee's supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
  • 7+ years of professional marketing experience.
  • 5+ years of brand management, brand marketing, or integrated marketing experience.
