Job description

The Wellness Pet Company is on a mission to help the next generation of pet parents fulfill a shared life of wellbeing with their pets through a foundation of proven nutrition. We are committed to crafting high-quality pet food, dental chews, treats, and topper recipes that are made with the perfect balance of high-quality natural ingredients paired with the latest scientific research and technologies. As a community of people working together, Wellies are positively obsessed with how to deliver proven health outcomes that pet parents can see and pets can taste. Wellies bring their best to work every day, come ready to collaborate, embrace the hard things, and own their outcomes.
This role reports to the Brand Director and is based out of our Burlington, Massachusetts office four days a week, working remotely on Fridays. Team members must reside within or be willing to relocate to a commutable distance from our Burlington office.
What You'll Accomplish:
As an Associate Brand Manager, you will cultivate and leverage consumer and category insights to accelerate new and existing platforms through winning go-to-market strategies. In this role, you will:
  • Establish and maintain a deep, working-level knowledge of our consumer, category, brand, and products.
  • Leverage multiple sources of data to report accurately and regularly on brand performance and category trends, driving towards actionable insights.
  • Utilize your data insights and market observations to identify new opportunity areas for the dog treats business, driving thoughtful discussions to test, learn, and grow.
  • Help ideate a consumer insight-driven pipeline then lead cross-functional teams and projects to execute new item launches and go-to-market plans with excellence.
  • Support the development and execution of annual brand plans that include marketing campaigns, new product launches, promotional plans, merchandising, and distribution opportunities.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the consumer, category, and competition to drive continuous growth and improvement for the dog food business (and yourself!).
  • Be a key contributor to the management and growth objectives of the Wellness Pet business.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 1 year of post-MBA CPG Brand Management experience or 2+ years of CPG Brand Management experience for candidates without an MBA
  • Proven analytical skills and a strategic mindset
  • Proficient in Nielsen or IRI
  • Strong creative eye and experience in packaging and marketing asset creation
  • Experience and proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Track-record of always demonstrating grace and a positive (yet pragmatic) attitude towards challenges and opportunities

The annual salary range for this position is $86,800 to $124,900 based on a full-time work schedule, anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational equity. Compensation may vary within that pay range depending on the selected candidate's professional background, experience, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The full compensation details will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer and may include eligibility for participation in a bonus program.
