The Region Rental Manager serves as the overall business leader for an assigned Region and is accountable for revenue growth, profitability, market share, customer satisfaction, operational execution, safety performance, and talent development. This position leads both sales and branch operations teams while partnering with centralized support functions to ensure consistent execution, exceptional customer experiences, and achievement of Region business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

Business Performance & P&L Leadership

  • Own Region revenue, profitability, utilization, and market share performance.
  • Develop and execute Region growth plans.
  • Lead business reviews, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Business Analyst to identify trends and opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Customer Growth

  • Lead Rental Specialists and Strategic Account Managers.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and wallet-share growth.
  • Support strategic account development and major opportunities.
  • Ensure CRM discipline and pipeline management.

Branch Operations Leadership

  • Lead Branch Managers and ensure consistent operational execution.
  • Drive customer service excellence, process compliance, and Rental Excellence standards.
  • Ensure alignment between sales and operations.

People Development & Talent Management

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top talent.
  • Conduct succession planning, performance management, and leadership development activities.
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Fleet & Asset Strategy

  • Partner with the Fleet Manager on fleet deployment and utilization strategy.
  • Review demand forecasts and capital needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset performance and return on investment.

Pricing & Commercial Execution

  • Own Region rental pricing execution and rate discipline.
  • Approve pricing exceptions within established guidelines and ensure competitive market positioning.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational standards.
  • Lead safety reviews and corrective actions while promoting a culture of accountability.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate execution between Fleet, Service Operations, Parts, and Sales teams.
  • Remove barriers and drive organizational alignment across all divisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent working experience, preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, industrial services, or a related industry. Demonstrated success leading sales, operations, and financial performance.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proven leadership and talent development skills.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience utilizing CRM, reporting, and business management systems.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution.

Up to 50-70% travel throughout the assigned Region and company locations. A valid driver's license is required.

Physical Demands:

Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills required. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and travel extensively. Ability to work in office, branch, shop, and customer environments. Fast-paced environment requiring prioritization of multiple responsibilities.
