Job description

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd. is currently accepting resumes for an Inventory & Tool Controller position at our Airdrie, AB branch. The shift is Monday through Friday with 40+ hours per week. Candidates must have a valid Class 5 (non GDL) driver’s licence as they may be required to perform hot shots and site deliveries. Candidates must be in good physical condition as this position requires frequent lifting.

The job responsibilities for this Inventory Controller position are as follows:

  • Oversee the check out and sign in of tools for Airdrie branch
  • Assist in implementing new inventory system across company
  • Control the shipping and receiving of materials
  • Responsible for daily updating and tracking of the computerized inventory management system
  • Oversee yearly inventory count & auditing
  • Return RMA materials to inventory room, while tracking and logging it in the system
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory room

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a tool crib, parts department, warehouse or similar inventory management position is an asset
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office programs
  • Electrical experience and forklift certification is an asset
  • Must have valid Standard First Aid – Level A or C, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals and Driving & Journey Management certificates
  • Must have a valid Class 5 (non GDL) driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Keen attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task
  • Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Airdrie, AB in order to be considered
