As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Nashville Brain Counseling Center, your daily activities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and regular evaluations to determine and meet clients’ therapeutic needs.
• Facilitating open communication among multidisciplinary teams, including supervisors, direct care staff, and family members, to optimize each client’s treatment plan.
• Designing and implementing a structured plan for client support sessions, which may include scheduling appointments, executing home visits, and conducting progress observations.
• Documenting and ensuring the accurate implementation of program plans, while attending Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to discuss client progress and provide professional input.
• Submitting detailed monthly and quarterly progress reports to maintain transparency and continuity of care for clients.
• Coordinating training sessions to ensure that team members are equipped to implement clinical practices effectively.
• Conducting follow-up interviews and home visits to provide ongoing support and assess the necessity of additional services.
• Maintaining organized records that are readily available for authorized personnel, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
• Acting as a liaison between the community and the mental health spectrum, promoting understanding and access to services among potential clients.
• Assisting in the development of training materials that enhance the effectiveness of individual programs.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including both adults and children, who may be experiencing various mental health challenges. Your role will be central to fostering therapeutic relationships that promote healing, particularly for those dealing with trauma, relationship issues, or substance abuse. By tailoring your approach to fit individual needs, you will play an instrumental role in helping clients achieve their personal goals and overall well-being.

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse clientele and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to document client interactions and treatment plans.

While not required, preferred qualifications include specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse counseling, or trauma-informed care. Such expertise will enhance your ability to connect with and assist clients who may have complex needs.
