Job description

Work directly with children, teens, and families who struggle with focus, anxiety, behavior, and learning. In this role, you will coach, guide, encourage, and help individuals succeed — while developing leadership skills within a supportive, high-performing team.
Brain Balance of Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Program Director to support our Program Director and leadership team in delivering meaningful developmental progress for the families we serve.
We are not a tutoring center.
We work from a brain-based developmental model that strengthens attention, emotional regulation, executive function, learning efficiency, and confidence across the lifespan.
This role blends hands-on interaction, coaching, organization, and leadership development within a structured clinical-style environment.
Who This Role Is Ideal For:
This position is a strong fit for individuals who enjoy working with people and want to grow professionally, including:
  • Teachers transitioning out of the classroom.
  • Behavioral technicians or RBTs.
  • Psychology, education, kinesiology, or therapy-track graduates.
  • Paraprofessionals or learning support staff.
  • Individuals pursuing careers in OT, SLP, counseling, or child development.

Position Details:
  • Part-Time: Approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Occasional additional hours may be required for staffing needs, trainings, or community events.

Compensation: $20–$23 per hour (based on experience)
Required Availability:
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Plus either Tuesday or Friday during the same hours.

What You Will Do:
  • Support daily center operations alongside the Program Director.
  • Work directly with clients and families to guide participation and engagement.
  • Track progress and assist with documentation and communication.
  • Help coordinate scheduling and session flow.
  • Provide coverage during staff absences or increased enrollment.
  • Assist with workshops, trainings, and community outreach events.
  • Maintain accurate records using center technology systems.
  • Help maintain a structured, positive, and professional environment.
  • Represent Brain Balance values with confidence and empathy.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Degree OR experience working with children in any structured setting.
  • Experience in educational, behavioral, therapeutic, healthcare, or developmental environments.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Comfort using scheduling systems, documentation platforms, and technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Professional reliability and attention to detail.

Preferred:
  • Background in child development, psychology, education, kinesiology, or therapy support.
  • Interest in long-term professional growth and leadership development.
