Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Program Aide assists in the delivery of programs and activities for Boys & Girls Club members. This role supports staff in creating a positive, safe, and engaging environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of youth. The Program Aide helps implement daily activities, supervises club members, and ensures that the club's values and mission are upheld in all interactions.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Have room set-up prior to club members arriving.
  • Plan and deliver effective learning programs including instructional sessions and clinics on all types of media, clubs, guest speakers and field trips.
  • Run age-appropriate activities for members.
  • Manage all aspects of this program: supplies, record keeping, inventory, and documentation.
  • Ensure supplies are safe and adequate for activities.
  • Ensure learning activities are being conducted in a safe manner at all times.
  • Continually monitor learning activities, identify and observe blind spots.
  • Provide effective recognition to members.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  1. A minimum of one (1) year of work experience preferred in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs.
  2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Group leadership skills, including an understanding of teen issues and group dynamics.
  4. Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications will be provided if needed
  5. Ability to lift heavy items and equipment
  6. Valid Arizona ID License
  7. Must be 18 years of age or older

Salary Description
$16.00 / hourly
