Job description

The Gift Boxing Department Supervisor works with Gift Boxing Leads and employees in the daily workflow of assembling gift boxes. Ensuring our spices, resources, and employees are meeting our high quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide clear direction to department leadership and employees.
  • Staff Development: Offer daily feedback to motivate staff.
  • Production Support: Support daily production goals and timelines by ensuring the department has all necessary resources.
  • Resource Management: Assist Leads by ensuring they have all required materials.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve line issues affecting production and communicate effectively with other department leadership as needed.
  • Safety: Ensure all department employees follow safe work practices.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with leadership to help staff accomplish assigned tasks.

Supervisor Tasks:
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter job cards and materials used into D365.
  • Quality Control: Follow the gift box check process and perform jar counts to ensure alignment with production.
  • Coordination: Attend morning meetings to discuss daily tasks and goals.
  • Systems: Utilize D365, Basecamp, and company email effectively.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Inventory Standards:
  • Accuracy: Maintain department inventory and coordinate with the Inventory Department to ensure accuracy.
  • Rework: Address and correct issues as they arise.
  • Coordination: Promptly notify leadership of supply shortages that could impact job card goals. Work closely with forklift drivers to ensure accurate SKU and lot numbers.

Penzeys Standards:
  • Support Safety, GMP, Dress Code, and all other company policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Handle broken glass and extraneous material incidents according to QA expectations.
  • Quality Standards: Maintain company quality standards for gift boxes and redirect staff as needed.
  • General Support: Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
