Job description

USAntibiotics Packaging Position

USAntibiotics, the only U.S. manufacturer of Amoxicillin products, is part of the Jackson Healthcare family of companies. Position Summary

Performs those duties related to the packaging of oral antibiotics including inspection, sampling, assembly, equipment operation, and documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Operates machinery and/or equipment which performs one or more packaging operations such as filling, labelling, wrapping, or closing containers.
  • Performs various hand assembly operations including boxing, cartoning, and inserting.
  • Performs visual inspection of materials, products, and containers throughout the packaging process.
  • Discards broken, damaged, or otherwise defective materials and/or products.
  • Performs in-process checks, weighing, and sample collections according to SOP's.
  • Performs line cleanups and line clearance inspections following completion of batch.
  • Maintains production logbooks for each piece of equipment assigned to a given line.
  • Participates in team-oriented work environment and continuous improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications โ€“ Education, Work Experience, Certifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend specifications as outlined in cGMP's and SOP's required.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Pass visual acuity test.
  • Experience in Lockout/Tagout
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to identify problems on production line and suggest solutions to supervisors.
  • Able to identify quality issues during in-process inspections.
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of line by functioning as a team to meet production demands.
  • Assists Packaging Department in meeting goals developed by meeting daily production schedule.
