How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Shipping and Receiving Assembler, you will package and prepare assembled units for shipment and load/unload crates from trailers.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
  • Build crates from wood using saws, pneumatic nail and staple guns.
  • Package units for shipment by using a tape machine, bag machine, and foam machine.
  • Operate a Forklift and load/unload large crates on trailers.
    • Training and Certification will be provided.
  • Working within a fast-paced team environment.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
  • One to three months related experience and/or training

Preferred Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Travel & Working Environment
  • Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
